wp_insert_post ve Öne Çıkarılmış Görsel

Arkadaşlar wp_insert_post ile içeriği ekledikten sonra inputtan gelen kendi sunucusundaki resim linkini Öne Çıkarılmış Görsel olarak tanımlamak istiyorum fakat başaramadım.

update_post_meta($var_dump, 'thumbnail', $resim);

Yukarıdakini denedim olmadı.
