Wordpress tema editlemek (yardım)

Arkadaşlar ben bir wordpress tema editleyeceğim.Editleyeceğim tema uf90 teması.
Editlemek istediğim kısım ise bu sitenin benim işime yaraması için kategorideki en son 10-20 konuyu ana sayfada göstersin.O zaten ayarlar kısmından oluyor ama sadece o kategoride yazdığım konuların başlıklarını göstersin.Yazının dier kısımlarına başlığğa tıklayınca ulaşılabilsin istiyorum.Bunun içinde sanırım ana index.php de oynama yapmak gerekiyor.Bide konu başlıklarınada küçük resimler yerleştirebilmek istiyorum.ACaba yardımcı olabilecek var mı ?

Temanın index.php dosyasını açınca şuna benzer bir kod görüceksin.
