Summary:
Ok today we will discuss about indexing methods by search engines of your website. First of all I accept myself search engines are weird but after all they follow some series of techniques , every month I open one site for only one purpose ; to follow different types of techniques and analyzing which one is more prestige and of course is more useful for all of us. Just kidding, I’m improving my self for seo consultancy for my clients. Even though I may now lots of things “but learning never ends”.
Chapter I
“I’m a tree” Method
Okay now you may know this method but some don’t maybe newbie’s around reading this article “let’s inform them about what’s going on”. Maybe this is the millionth time I am writing this keyword, “sitemap!” yes.
When you build a website, visitors who visit will probably get lost in finding the correct place in what they are searching for. So what do we do? We create categories correct? (Yeas…) Categories help us and visitors to put everything in order (organized site).
Well there are some visitors that are special “web-crawlers” , in other terms robots.txt (bots).Google , yahoo , technorati , echo , AltaVista and many more search engine’s bots. Their purpose is to crawl the site and get the information on cache “indexing”. Well robots are semi-human visitors. If you give them hard path in finding the correct places then they will not visit those sub-categories, in result your sub-categories will not be cached or in other terms it will not be indexed.
So lets say you don’t have proper structure in categories. Then what do we do? Sitemap is the correct answer…
Sitemap allows the site infrastructure to be built in seconds in correct terms. So when a crawler comes to visit to your site they won’t stop to drink a tea. They will start caching your website. When they enter your sitemap, the crawler discovers a gold mine where links are given in the sitemap to all places going in to your site. I express a sitemap like a book. When you start reading a book you open the first page that shows the book map. Book map helps to see what chapter discusses about in what page.
So in other terms sitemap is the link tree of all of your web-site. That’s why I call this the tree method
Chapter II
“Writer” Method
Writing articles related to your website will have keywords in it. The more keywords in your website the more search engine traffic will flow in to your website. What I mean is that when people write key words in to the search engine. They will have lists of sites related to their keywords. So if you have articles related to your keywords more then others then your place on the list will rise to the top places
Example: “Keyword: Chat”
When a person types this to a search engine, series of website will be listed to the related keyword. If you have more keywords related tags on your site you will have more chance of getting higher traffic from search engines. This will allow you to get listed on higher ranks on the great list of the search engines.
This is one of the benefits of writing articles. The more keywords you use in articles the higher chance of traffic to flow to your website. In search engine optimization terms we call this keyword density (The density of related keywords used in articles).
Now you got a idea “why should I write a new article if there is already a written one on the internet, why don’t I just copy paste it.”
Okay you’re a genius I’m stupid… “Just joking”
The reason professionals don’t do this is because of these factors:
- Dupe content will allow search engines to ban you and will delete your index
- Some articles have copyrights , people don’t want to pay thousands of money
- Visitors who visit your website are interested in new articles if they see and read the same article the stand time period will fall to 0-30 seconds
As you can see article writing have lots of benefits. But you know what? It still has lots of benefits. Let’s go on and teaching you what other benefits it has.
You should have learned writing a good article before but its not all about writing articles. When you write a article be aware to put your website link in a suitable place in the article. Why? “My article is already in my website, why should I write it again?”
Well the reason is that you’re not going to post this article only in your website but you can also post into related blogs or article directories. This will allow you to get back link to you website. “Back links will support you traffic + getting a chance higher indexing.”
The more back links, the more chance of your article related topic get higher page rank.
Article directories have the same methodology in general directories allow us to get back links and traffic to flow to your website. Crawlers love directories so be sure to post as many as in article directories. “You would probably attacked by crawlers full-filled with bots reading your article.” OoO..
Post it on blogs related to your keywords. Crawlers will love it also you would get free pure organic traffic. What I mean posting is commenting on other blogs.
How can we find blogs related to our keywords?
Example:
Site:.com inurl:blog “post a comment” -"comments closed" -"you must be logged in” "keyword"
Site:.net inurl:blog “post a comment” -"comments closed" -"you must be logged in” "keyword"
Site:. Info inurl:blog “post a comment” -"comments closed" -"you must be logged in” "keyword"
This is actually a Google hack, “but its legal..” In another article I described another method similar to this search blogs method.
As you can see articles are highly important ,
1-pure traffic
2-crawler interest
3-backlink support
4-keyword ranking
