An Applicant for a .IT Domain name must meet the geographical requirements applicable to all .IT domain name holders as follows:
Companies and organizations having their registered office, central administration or principal place of business within the European Community; or
Individuals - natural persons – resident within the European Community.
If the applicant is a natural person, their passport number is required to validate the application. Companies and other applicantsmust supply their VAT number or company registration number. Applicants who meet this criteria will be required to complete and fax to us the Italian Letter of Assumed Responsibility (LAR) document. LAR documents will be e-mailed to applicants after the application has been submitted.
Applicants who do not meet this requirement may still apply by selecting to use our European company details. We will then act as your agent in Italy.
Full control of the domain name can be given to you, should you gain .IT eligibility in the future. A change of ownership fee applies for transferring the domain name from our agent to yourself as a new owner.
A fee of €20.00 only applies for transferring your .IT domain from our registered agent to yourself.
You may also renew your .IT domain name for the price of €39.00 per year of registration. As a part of this renewal process, you may transfer your .IT domain name from our registered agent to yourself at no additional cost.
