When you set up a free account, if you install the desktop app and the mobile phone app you will be given an opening transfer quota of 70GB (40GB + 30GB). I would suggest you set up a free account install the MEGAsync and mobile apps then import the link into MEGAsync to download the file. You will, at the start, need 600GB of available storage space on your computer as it will create a hidden .mega file, of the same size, that it downloads to. MEGAsync will download as fast as it can, stopping and starting as soon as transfer quotas are reset (on either end). If you're finding that the download often pauses, before your 70GB quota is reached then there is a good chance the person posting the link is hitting their transfer quota as well. Transfer speeds for free and Pro accounts are the same its only the quota limits that can slow down a free account. If you need to shutdown and restart your computer MEGAsync will resume the download from where it left off (this is how it uses the hidden .mega file). If your full 70GB allowance is downloaded in one go then its more likely the person posting the link also has a Pro account and so upgrading to a Pro lite account would allow you to download the file with fewer interruptions.
