To ensure more security for online payments, starting on 1 January 2021, you will be only allowed to pay with credit cards if they use two factor authentication (2FA), also known as 3-D Secure or SafeKey. In addition to the first security factor (you possessing your credit card), this process includes an additional and independent factor, which is often a one-time password like an SMS TAN. This security measure helps to ensure that you as the legal credit card holder have authorized the payment.
So that you can continue to use your credit card as a payment method, we need you to re-enter your credit card information on your account by no later than 29 December 2020.
