Bir kaç ay önce bfgoodrichlastik.com domainini aldım. Çalıştığım firma Michelin yetkili bayisi. Bu marka lastikte Michelin tarafından üretilen bir lastik. Haliyle satışlarımızı arttırmak müşteri çekmek için 2. bir domain alıp sadece tek marka üzerine kurulmuş bir site yapmaktı amacım. Bugün aşağıdaki gibi bir mail aldık ve ne yapacağımız konusunda kararsısız? Konu hakkında yardımcı olabilecek ya da yönlendirebilecek kişilere şimdiden teşekkür ederim.

Dear Sirs,

We represent the Swiss company Michelin Recherche et Technique S.A. (hereinafter referred to as Michelin) whose registered office is located at Route Louis-Braille 10, Granges-Paccot – 1763, Switzerland.

Michelin owns the trademark BFGOODRICH, largely protected in the world in the field of tire manufacturing.

Our client has become aware of the registration and the use of the domain name <bfgoodrichlastik.com > which entirely reproduces our client's trademark BFGOODRICH.

The domain name <bfgoodrichlastik.com> resolves to a webpage in Turkish offering information regarding our client's tyres and the same contains reproduction of our client's trademark.

You may indeed offer products and/or services under our client's trademark. However, to the best of our knowledge, you have not been granted any authorization by it to register the domain name <bfgoodrichlastik.com> in your own name.

According to Michelin Group Policy, only Michelin is entitled to register and use domain names reproducing or imitating its trademark(s) alone or associating them with any other terms.

Those domain names are all hosted on its accredited domain name provider's servers.

Added to the above, the registration and the use of the domain name <bfgoodrichlastik.com> with the trademark BFGOODRICH without authorization of Michelin constitute trademark infringement as well as free riding.

Therefore, we request that you:

- immediately cease the use of the domain name <bfgoodrichlastik.com>,

- contact us within the next 8 days, in order to organize the transfer of this domain name free of charge,

- state in writing and on headed paper, not to use the trademark BFGOODRICH under any form and inter alia as a trademark, company name, business name, trade sign or domain name without prior written authorization.

Otherwise, Michelin will be free to start any legal appropriate action to put an end to this infringing situation.
