This 60-day period is a security measure that helps to prevent domain names from being hijacked or stolen and transferred to another registrar. Should a domain name be stolen, we rely on the ICANN policy that states "In the event of a dispute, the Registered Name Holder's authority supersedes that of the Administrative Contact."
