What if I cannot contact my Domain Provider?

If you have exhausted all attempts to contact your current Domain Provider regarding the renewal or the user name/password of your domain name, you can transfer your domain to a new Domain Provider.
Please see this page to find another Provider to transfer your domain registration to so they can handle the administration of your domain name.
You will need to confirm this transfer via an email sent to your Administrative Contact email address.
If the Administrative Contact is out of date, you will first need to update it before you submit this transfer with your new Provider.
Once the transfer is completed your domain will be renewed for a one year period, and you will be provided a new user name and password by your new Domain Provider.

If the Administrative Contact is out of date, you will first need to update the Administrative Contact before you submit this transfer with your new Provider. For many types of domain names you will also require the domain name’s Authorization Code (or EPP Key) to approve the transfer.

Once the transfer is completed your domain will be renewed for a one year period, and you will be provided a new user name and password by your new Domain Provider.

If your domain is locked and you must have it unlocked in order to transfer the domain to a new domain registration company, please contact the Tucows/OpenSRS Compliance Department and let them know of your issues. You may also ask for your domain name Authorization Code to be sent if your Administrative Contact email address is currently working. It will only be sent to the Admin Contact email address, so you will need to update it if it currently does not work.
