Yes, I think youre right there. You can either change the background colour, Move the username or edit the template set and put postbit instead of GARS_comment in the comment setting. THat will cause GARS to use the default postbit instead of the GARS_comment one. COnversly you can also create a brand new template and assign it to this setting.
