| Hello NEOOOO, Thank you for writing to Microsoft Passport Network Technical Support. Neoooo , to resolve your issue, I suggest that you reset your password online. However, before doing so I advise you to clear your browser's cache and delete cookies. The "Temporary Internet Files" folder stores information your computer exchanges with the websites you visited. These files facilitate the communication between your computer and the websites. As time passes, these files become cluttered and can adversely affect communication. The clutter will have to be regularly cleaned to ensure seamless communication. To do this using Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0, please follow these steps: 1. Click "Tools", and then click "Internet Options". 2. Click the "General" tab. 3. Click "Delete Cookies", and click "OK". 4. Click "Delete Files", and click "OK". 5. Click "Clear History", and click "Yes". 6. Click "OK". Note: For browsers other than Internet Explorer (IE), please visit the browser homepage and look for information on how to do the instructions given above. Once done, please close all your Internet browser windows and open them again. To reset your password by e-mail, please follow these steps: 1. Visit the Password Reset page at https://accountservices.passport.net/uiresetpw.srf/ . 2. Enter the Microsoft Passport Network account that you would like to reset the password of. 3. Type the characters that are displayed in the picture. 4. Click "Continue". 5. Click the "Send yourself a password reset e-mail message" link. Note: If you do not have personal account information and a secret question and answer on file for your account, this page will not be displayed. If you created your account credentials by using an existing e-mail account other than an MSN or MSN Hotmail account, and you have provided an alternate e-mail address, a different page will be displayed. That page will prompt you to select the e-mail address that you want the Microsoft Passport Network to send a "Password Reset" e-mail to. 6. Choose the "Send an e-mail message to my alternate e-mail address" option, and then Click "Send Message". 7. Click "Done". This will send an e-mail with the subject: "Reset your Microsoft Passport Network password" to the alternate e-mail address you have provided in your profile. Should you not see it there, please check your "Junk Mail" folder. E-mail services offer filters, which may direct messages from some domains to a "Junk Mail" folder. For information on filters, please contact your e-mail service provider. 8. Respond to the message from Microsoft Passport Network as soon as possible by clicking the link found in the message. If done correctly, you will be directed to a page where you will have to confirm your e-mail address. 9. Type the e-mail address you would like to reset the password in lower case (e.g. çalınanmailadresi@hotmail.com). 10. Click on "Continue". 11. Enter your preferred password in the "New Password" textbox. Please be advised of the following regarding passwords: - Should have at least 6 and not more than 16 characters - Should not be the same as the answer to your secret question * To further secure your account, we suggest that you use a password that will be rated "Medium" or "Strong" in our Password Strength meter. 12. Reenter your preferred password for confirmation. 13. Choose to set your password to expire every 72 days, by selecting the "Password expiration" check box. Note: If you activate this feature, you will receive a reminder when you need to change your password. 14. Click on "Continue". 15. Click on "Done". Note: The "Password Reset" e-mail message will contain instructions and a link to the Account Services home page to help you reset your password. After resetting your password, I suggest that you change your secret question and answer as well. Please follow the procedure below: 1. Visit the Account Services page at https://accountservices.msn.com/ . 2. Sign in using your Microsoft Passport Network account sign in name and password. 3. Click on the "Credentials" link on the MSN Account Services Home page. 4. Click on the "Change your question and secret answer" link. 5. Type your current password. 6. Choose a Question, and enter your Secret Answer. 7. Click on "Continue". 8. Click on "Done". You are a valuable customer to MSN and we are glad to give you consistent and effective service.
