(1899-15.June.1961):Author.Born in İstanbul.Son of famous poet İsmail Safa.He couldn't have a regular education.
He educated himself own.He started in life when he was 13.Worked in Post Telegraph Ministry.Worked as Schoolteacher(1914-1918),
journalist(1918-1961).Earned his living by his articles.Died in İstanbul.

His brother İlhami also run an afternoon paper called Yirminci Asır(20.th century).He published his first stories unsigned called "Asrın Hikayeleri"(Century's Stories) at this paper(1919),
Also published two magazines called "Kültür Haftası"(Culture Week)(21 issues,15 January-3 June 1936) and Türk Düşüncesi(Türkish İdea)(63 issues,1953-1960).Wrote at papers Tasvîr-i Efkâr, Cumhuriyet, Milliyet, Tercüman, Son Havadis.
Peyami Safa was scattered by his death of his dear son ,while he was at military.He died in İstanbul a few months later after this event.He is burried in "Edirnekapı Şehitliği".

Peyami Safa is one of rare personalities of educated itself own.He learned French as he could write a French Grammer book.He wrote continuously for 43 years.He was a hard headworker,novelist and controversialist.He had polemics with Nâzım Hikmet Ran, Nurullah Ataç, Zekeriya Sertel, Muhsin Ertuğrul, Aziz Nesin.

He was the editor of the "Son Havadis" newspaper when he died.

Peyami Safa published his stories which don't have a value of literary with the "Server Bedi" sign.His novel "Cumbadan Rumbaya"(1936),and his dedective story lines "Cingöz Recai" are the most famous creations of his nearly 80 ones.
Also wrote schoolbooks.A logic underground and plausibility seems at Peyami Safa's columns and articles.He accentuated to analys more than the event.
